Regardless of the fact that more than one-month has now passed since ‘the Big Day’ in 2010, I still feel it would be appropriate to share with you some of the gifts I received, in addition to the two new Metabo drills I purchased for myself (as featured in a previous post).

It may have taken me over two-months but, I’m now ready to make the transition over here, to WordPress! Sadly, it is time to close the door on my UKworkshop Blog; I hope we don’t lose many followers in the process! That blog was dead easy to easy and was, in fact, no more challenging than making a post on any the forums. I feel it lacked the flexibility that some of the others sites can offer, which is why I’m here. I did also consider Blogger, which has proven to be very popular over the years. But, in trying to keep up with the times, WordPress appears to be the new no.1.
So, where to start?
As you some of you may have read in my previous blog, I am keen to participate in a local exhibition for Bristol-based furniture makers, early next year (currently pencilled in for February). Continue reading…
Welcome to my brand new blog! Those of you who’ve followed me previously at UKworkshop will have a good idea of what to expect.
Having built a new workbench, applied white emulsion paint to half the walls and given the layout a bit of a shuffle generally, my garage-cum-workshop is looking better than ever before! There is still much work to be done and I hope you’ll follow me along the way as I strive to obtain maximum working space in a home workshop. Maybe I’ll even get that leaky roof sorted at some point! It would also be nice to lose the up-and-over door, which is far from ideal when you’re over 6ft tall!
