#Walk1000Miles – October 2016

Suddenly, we’re so very close to the end of 2016. I honestly feel as though I should only be summarising September in this post – in fact, the first thing I did was to type the wrong month in this post’s title!

I’ve already accepted that I’m not going to reach the one-thousand mark (at least, this year). However close I do get, I’m not going to try and push myself too hard in these final months, with the diminishing daylight hours.

So, at the end of October 2016… How far have I come in this challenge?

#Walk1000Miles – August 2016

August arrived and then, seemed to depart so very suddenly. At first, it was as if the remnants of a typical summer had run away with it… More recently, temperatures have almost begun to rise again and we live in hope of what is often referred to as an Indian Summer.

#Walk1000Miles – June 2016

I fear I’m going to be disappointed with my tally for the month that was June. It began so very well and I felt confident that I’d be able to break a century, with relative ease.

But in the second half of the month – and, what seems destined to continue in to July – we saw a large amount of rainfall among many grey days. Does anyone else remember the heatwave at the beginning of June?
