Gluing Up; Running Backwards

After work today, I spent a couple of hours planing up all the boards and then looking at arranging them and gluing them together in to ‘layers’ that’ll then be sliced up in to shorter blocks and then assembled to created the complete boards.

Ripping Through

I awoke this morning to find rain on the ground outside. It looked as though the forecasters were right and, as a consequence, I was concerned that I might not have been able to rip my boards down today. There’s limited space inside my workshop to even use a table saw, let alone to store the Scheppach TKU I’ve had since September. Setting up outside would also allow the (lack of) dust extraction to have the best chance of not leaving my workshop in a mess…

Wiring Up

Believe it or not, I’ll have another video for you soon on some ‘modifications’ I’ve been making to my workbench! 😯 While I was waiting for glue to dry at one part though, I got on a wired-in the new DOL Starter I bought for my 6in planer (jointer), as I alluded to at the end of my mobile base video.
