A New PC

Since 2010, if it wasn’t 2009; I’ve been doing pretty much everything from a ‘less expensive’ laptop available from the Argos catalogue. Within the past two years, it’s been getting slower and slower. On top of that, I occasionally hear the fan inside crunching and grinding away… My laptop wasn’t going to last much longer and, even after backing up all of my files, I was going to need something new to work from.

As my laptop never actually leaves the desk, I decided it would make sense to invest in a PC. This has many advantages and I’d probably get a lot more for my money. Along with blogging and photography, I do a lot with YouTube, which is very demanding on hardware. Brief internet searches suggested that I should be looking for something with the specification of a ‘gaming PC’ and so, with a budget in mind, I decided on an:

ADMI Gaming PC Package.

Run All Night / The Royal Tenenbaums #LoveFilm

Chappie / Maleficent

When I first saw the respective trailers for these two films in the cinema, somewhere over a year ago; I held a reasonably high level of hope and anticipation towards them. At the same time, there was also a strong sense of reservation – the kind, of which, had prevented me from watching either one until quite recently.

The Machinist / John Wick

First up this evening, we have a fairly well-received ‘thriller’ that strengthened Christian Bale’s CV ahead of selection for the starring role in the Dark Knight Trilogy.

The Way Back / Inbetweeners 2

Not to be confused with another title from my previous post of film reviews, The Way Back begins in a Siberian Prisoner of War camp, set during World Way II. This story charts the events of survival within the camp and then follows a small group of courageous individuals, as they escape the clutches of Communism in their own quest for freedom.

The Way / Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

When Amazon recommended another video about a long-distance walk, it instantly became a High Priority on my Love Film Rental List.
