When Biscuits Go Bad

As far as baking goes, I’ve always seen biscuits as perhaps the simplest of options available. Cakes can sink and sag but, being relatively flat, there isn’t a lot that can go wrong with a biscuit, is there?

My First Pie

This takes us back to around the time of my birthday, which was already just over a month ago. I’ve had my share of Pukka Pies and I’ll occasionally try one when out for a pub meal. But with many cakes, a few casseroles and the odd shepherd’s pie already under my belt, I decided to have a go at a more traditional pie with a bit of pastry on top.

This is I baked on my birthday, which was almost three-weeks ago to the day. It seems so long ago now… And yet, writing these words, I realise that I’ve eaten quite a lot of baked goods in a relatively short space of time!
